Why Horolune

The way we work

Thorough Assessment First

Every watch is examined before any work begins. You receive a written summary of its condition and a clear scope of work — no surprises.

Specialist Tooling

We use ultrasonic cleaning equipment, precision timing machines, and watchmaker's loupes sized to the job — not general repair tools.

Documentation at Every Stage

Vintage pieces are photographed before and after. You leave with a record of what was done — useful for insurance and future reference.

12-Month Service Warranty

Mechanical servicing work carries a 12-month warranty on parts and labour. If something isn't right, we attend to it at no further charge.

Heirloom Sensitivity

Sentimental and collectible pieces are handled with the understanding that age and patina matter. Original character is preserved wherever the condition allows.

Convenient Bangkok Location

Our workshop sits in Bang Rak, accessible from Silom and the riverside. Drop-off and collection arranged by appointment for a relaxed visit.

Common Questions

A few things worth knowing

How do I know if my watch actually needs a full service?

Mechanical movements typically benefit from servicing every four to six years, even if the watch appears to be running well. Lubricants dry out gradually and wear increases without visible symptoms. If your piece has slowed noticeably, stops unexpectedly, or hasn't been opened in over a decade, an assessment is a sensible starting point.

How long does a mechanical service take?

A full mechanical service generally takes two to four weeks depending on the movement's complexity and the current workshop schedule. We'll give you a realistic estimate when you drop the watch off. Battery and seal work is usually completed within the same week.

Will refinishing change the look of my vintage watch?

We discuss this in detail before any work begins. Many collectors prefer to keep the aged surfaces of a vintage case intact, and we respect that preference entirely. Refinishing is offered where the case is damaged or where the owner specifically requests it — never applied as a default.

Do you work on all brands and movements?

We handle a broad range of Swiss, Japanese, and other mechanical movements, including manual-wind and automatic calibres. Some highly specialised or brand-proprietary movements may require specialist parts we need to source. We'll be candid if a particular piece falls outside our scope.

What does the 12-month service warranty cover?

The warranty covers the work we performed — cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, and any parts replaced by us. If the movement develops a fault related to our servicing within twelve months, we'll re-examine and address it at no additional charge. It doesn't cover accidental damage or new wear unrelated to the service.

How do I get my watch to you if I'm not near Bang Rak?

Many clients come in person, which we prefer for valuable or sentimental pieces since it allows us to discuss condition together. For those outside Bangkok, we can advise on secure registered post methods. Contact us first and we'll talk through the options appropriate for your particular watch.
